Summary: Photographs, taken by the Buehman Studio, of the Fox Theater in downtown Tucson including views of the exterior and interior, publicity, contests, crowds, actors and actresses, employees, and activities in the 1930s. Exterior views show Congress Street, the Palace of the Sweets, Grand Cafe, Arizona Daily Star, Fox Barber Shop and Goldberg Jewelers. Actors include Jean Harlow, Leo Carrillo posed in front of the Tucson Police Department, and Roscoe Ates, a comedian, posed in Porters Store. There are images of contests include bicycle races for men and women escorted by motorcycle police. Included in the contest photographs are Mayor Henry O. Jaastad, C. Edgar Goyette, Monte Mansfeld, Isabella Greenway, Governor B.B. Moeur, Fire Chief Joseph Roberts, and Policeman Jesus Camacho. Theater employees include Roy Drachman, Grace Drachman, Constant F. Weinzapfel, Oran Sarrels, Herb Nixon, Harold Box, William Marteny, and others. A few early photographs, 1910s-1920s, are present include images of Emanuel Drachman and Daved Diamos. Images of the Mickey Mouse Club include the Lions Club charitable food drive at Christmas. Some images of the exterior show advertising for the building's new air conditioning system.

Biographical note: Architect and Tucson Mayor; Henry O. Jaastad came to Tucson in 1902 and opened an architecture practice after completing a course of study.
